Welcome to Be ilmspired! I’m Sadia. Ilm means knowledge in Arabic and this blog reflects my thoughts on all things inspiring, Islamic and educational.
I am based in the UK and have a degree in Modern History from Somerville College, Oxford, as well as a PGCE from the University of Surrey. I’ve been involved in education for twenty years and taught in schools in both England and Dubai. I was also the first non-Arab recognised by the Ofsted equivalent, KHDA, to teach Islamic Education in Dubai.
I have recently ventured into the world of EdTech and entrepreneurship to launch ilmspired, which is an innovative educational app and website that teaches Islamic Education to children aged 5 and above through interactive games, inspirational biographies, stories and multiple choice tests. It can be downloaded on the App Store or Google Play as well as www.ilmspired.com
